Nathan Katz, 44 years old scientist and businessman, leaves in Chicago with his wife and three children. After immigration to Israel in early 90th quickly became one of the first embryologists and single cells micro manipulation practitioner (similar to surgery on cellular level) in Israel and the world. Considering the choice between academic career and practical medicine, he choose the last. Transitional medicine became his priority for years. Moreover, he took a part in process of establishment of government regulation for the clinical applications growing from advances of research and experience. Nathan, keeping his clinical research in a focus of his daily agenda, has translated the research experience in successful clinical projects in East Europe and Caribbean islands in field of human infertility, personally directing labs and developing protocols.
While the opportunity rose to overlapping fields of genetics and stem cells, there was no hesitation: Nathan obtained the knowledge and translated new technologies within short time into clinical models of providing most advanced services to patients.
Professional career has expanded from Israel to East Europe, UK and USA.
He was asked many times whether there are no regrets for giving up the medical doctor career or being University Professor. The answer is usually simple: I'm enjoying both worlds, implementing the knowledge of medicine and science at once. Moreover, business development makes my life as diversified as not many can experience in their life. On top of having happy family, who needs more than that!
Nathan is in permanent search after the wonder of cell - the brick of our life!
